The Kremlin chose not to respond to recent claims from the United States and Ukraine accusing Moscow of using North Korean missiles in attacks against Ukrainian targets.

The White House, backed by declassified intelligence, claimed that Russia used short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) from North Korea for multiple attacks against Ukraine.

Although a senior Ukrainian official supported these claims, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, during a press conference, did not comment on the accusations.

Tensions are rising as Moscow and Pyongyang have strengthened ties amid the Ukraine conflict, despite denying any arms deal. The meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and President Vladimir Putin in September marked a significant advance in their relationship.

Peskov, while avoiding comment on the missile allegations, accused Ukraine of using missiles from Western nations, including Germany, France, Italy and the United States, to attack civilian targets in Russia.

The Kremlin’s response comes amid an intensified conflict, exemplified by Ukraine’s attack on the Russian border town of Belgorod on December 30, which caused casualties and injuries.

As Moscow faces accusations of using North Korean missiles and blames Western nations for supplying weapons to kyiv, tensions persist and the situation remains complex in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
