US President Joe Biden has once again made headlines for his old age, as he was seen stumbling twice while boarding Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on Tuesday, revitalizing debates about his mental health and physical well-being.

The stumble comes months after Joe Biden tripped while climbing the stairs to board Air Force One despite using a short, convenient staircase.

Cameras caught the 81-year-old stumbling as he boarded his plane, avoiding a fall.

The trip has reinforced demands for an evaluation of the mental abilities of the oldest president in US history.

The former US ambassador to the UN and Republican presidential candidate, Nikki Haley, had asked during her election rallies that the mental capacities of political leaders over 75 years of age be evaluated.

Last week, independent White House candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr said: “Biden should go out and debate and show the American public that he has the cognitive capacity to do this very, very difficult job.”

Republicans in Congress wrote a letter to Biden last week asking that his cognitive test demonstrate his mental fitness for the Oval Office.

The letter was spearheaded by former White House physician and former President Donald Trump's chief medical advisor, Ronny Jackson, and co-signed by 83 House Republicans.

“Following Special Counsel Robert Hur's recent report, we write to express our grave concern about your current cognitive status and your ability to successfully execute the functions of the Presidency, including as Chief Executive, Head of State, and Commander in Chief,” said the lawmakers wrote in the letter.

“This is the fifth time we have sent a letter to the White House demanding that Biden undergo a cognitive test; however, while the administration has chosen to ignore each of these requests, it is becoming clearer every day that the president does not “He is cognitively fit,” Jackson told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“I am proud to be joined in this effort by Conference President Stefanik, Deputy Chief Guy Reschenthaler, and dozens of my House colleagues.”

In June of last year, President Joe Biden tripped and fell after presenting the final diploma during a graduation ceremony at the United States Air Force Academy.

With the help of three people, the 80-year-old president quickly regained his balance and returned to his seat without assistance. As they helped him, Biden gestured behind him, indicating the object that tripped him.

According to White House communications director Ben LaBolt, who shared an update on Twitter, Biden was not injured.

LaBolt clarified that there was a sandbag on stage when Biden was shaking hands, which caused the stumble.
