He hosted on CNN debate, showed Haley and Destantis tearing each other apart, accusing each other of lies, insulting each other over records and characters, while Donald Trump decided to skip and participate in a Fox News the same day, at the same time.

Critics believe this is a calculated move to distance viewers from the events of its rival by using a “counterprogramming” strategy.

The Iowa Caucuses are scheduled to begin on January 15 and will be the opening contest of the US election season. The presidential elections are scheduled for November 5.
