British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said his government will not continue the previous Conservative government's policy of deporting asylum seekers to Rwanda.
“The Rwanda plan was dead and buried before it started. It has never been a deterrent,” Starmer said at his press conference after his Labour Party won a landslide victory in the general election.
“I am not prepared to continue with tricks that have no deterrent effect.”
