US Vice President Kamala Harris got a little too comfortable while speaking to young Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) on Monday. The hill reported.

While attending the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies' annual Legislative Leadership Summit, Harris, 59, dropped an F-bomb while giving advice to young attendees.

The insult came during her response when she was asked about her experience as the first Black and South Asian vice president of the United States and how her heritage has influenced her views and role as a leader.

Harris said: “This is the thing about breaking barriers. Breaking barriers doesn't mean you start on one side of the barrier and end up on the other.

“You have to break, and when you break things, you cut yourself. And you can bleed. And it's always worth it.”

He added: “We have to know that sometimes people open the door for you and leave it open. Sometimes they don't, and then you have to kick that damn door down,” Harris said. “Excuse my language.”

The audience followed his comment with applause as actor and comedian Jimmy O Yang, who moderated the conversation with the vice president, said: “We have to make T-shirts with that saying.”

The vice president's appearance at the leadership summit comes as the Biden administration celebrates AANHPI Heritage Month.

President Joe Biden and Harris will also deliver remarks at a White House reception in honor of the month on Tuesday night.
