Teenager Coco Yoshizawa took home the Olympic gold medal in skateboarding at Paris's historic Place de la Concorde.
Coco Yoshizawa, a 14-year-old from Japan, won gold in women's street skating at the Paris Olympics in an all-teen final.
Fellow Japanese Liz Akama took silver and Brazilian Rayssa Leal bronze at the Place de la Concorde on Sunday.
Yoshizawa accumulated 272.75 points in his best three races.
Akama, just 15 years old, scored 265.95 points to take second place and Leal finished with 253.37, comfortably ahead of Cui Chenxi of China, who came in fourth.
Leal, who won silver at the Tokyo Olympics last time out, was the eldest of the three medallists in the French capital at 16.
After a downpour forced the postponement of the men's event the day before, the sun returned on Sunday and the temporary arena turned into a steamy cauldron.
Skaters can afford to fall and not record a score up to four times in their seven attempts.
Yoshizawa came into his penultimate trick with two big scores, but needed a third to complete his total. Still, he took a big risk by going down the rail and pulled it off.
Even though all of her rivals had one more race left, she raised her board over her head in triumph.
Skateboarding resumes on Monday and the men's street event is postponed from Saturday.
With defending Olympic champion Yuto Horigome, Sora Shirai and 14-year-old Ginwoo Onodera, Japan could once again dominate.
