Thaksin returned to Thailand in 2023 after 15 years of self-imposed exile.
Jailed former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has left the police hospital where he has been detained since returning to the kingdom after 15 years of self-imposed exile, media reported.
Thaksin, 74, was seen early Sunday in a vehicle leaving the hospital in central Bangkok, several media outlets reported, citing witnesses.
Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin had earlier announced that Thaksin would be released on parole on Sunday.
