The Israeli military carried out what it called a “precision strike” against a Hezbollah commander in a southern suburb of Beirut. Israeli officials say it was retaliation for an attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday that killed 12 children and teenagers. Hezbollah has denied responsibility for that attack.
