South Africa is launching a case against Israel before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the highest legal body of the United Nations.
While it could take years to reach a final ruling, the ICJ could issue an interim order for Israel to end its campaign within weeks.
So how important would that be? And will it help end the conflict?
