Is a peace agreement possible in Gaza after the murder of Yahya Sinwar? | Israel-Palestine Conflict News

Leaders meet in Doha for another round of ceasefire talks, with high hopes.

Gaza ceasefire talks have restarted in the Qatari capital Doha after being stalled for months.

The head of Israel's Mossad foreign intelligence agency and the head of the CIA met with Qatar's prime minister in hopes of moving negotiations forward.

The assassination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar should, according to Israel and the United States, pave the way for a peace agreement, ending the war in Gaza and allowing the release of the remaining captives in Gaza.

The latest round of talks comes on the heels of a series of targeted assassinations by Israel of leaders in both Gaza and Lebanon.

But could the talks really lead to a breakthrough?
