Iranians flood the streets to celebrate the announcement of the ceasefire

The United States and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire, less than two hours before US President Donald Trump's deadline for Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, after talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Following the announcement, large numbers of Iranians took to the streets, celebrating the event and greeting the country's leadership. They also burned the flags of the United States and Israel.
