India International Axar Patel is the last Captain of IPL 2025 to be appointed as Capitals de Delhi makes a late ad.

The all -terrain of India, Axar Patel, has been appointed Captain of Delhi Capitals in the period prior to the new Indian season of the Premier League, said the team.

The 31 -year -old is the oldest player on the team, having joined in 2019. He obtained 967 races and picked up 62 WICKETS at an economic rate of 7.09 in 82 appearances with the capitals.

Axar, who was named Vicecapitán International Twenty20 from India in January, takes the captaincy of Delhi de Rishabh Pant after its transfer to Lucknow Super Giants.

“It is an absolute honor to captain the capital of Delhi, and I am deeply grateful to our owners and support staff for putting their faith in me,” Axar said in a statement on Friday.

“I have grown up as a Cricket player and a human being during my time here in the capitals, and I feel ready and sure to lead this side in the future.”

Axar also played a key role in the victory of the Champions Trophy of India earlier this month, taking five WICKETS at a rate of 4.35 and making key contributions that bat in number five.

The capitals begin their IPL campaign in Visakhapatnam on March 24 against Lucknow.

Kolkata Knight Riders, the only other team that still had to announce his employer, called Ajinkya Rahane as the new captain on March 3.
