As presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump faces a hush money trial on Monday, his wife Melania Trump has been very concerned about this legal fight that is quite embarrassing for the former first lady, according to former White House aide Stephanie Grisham.

New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg is investigating the hush money case in which Trump, 77, falsified a business record to pay adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

Daniels was paid to keep secret her sexual encounter with Trump in 2006, after he married Melania Trump.

Former President Trump has consistently denied all charges and pleaded not guilty and accused Alvin Bragg of pursuing the case for political purposes.

Grisham, Trump's former White House secretary, said cnn: “I imagine she's pressuring him to stop. I imagine she would pressure him to get on the stand and defend himself because this is very, very embarrassing for her.”

He also said: “It's humiliating for her and I can guarantee you that she's not happy right now and he's pretty worried about it.”

Grisham revealed how Melania responded to the sexual encounter allegations: “She didn't take it lightly at all. We went to the State of the Union separately. She refused to walk with him to Marine One because she didn't want to.” Be like Hillary Clinton and support her man.”

“She's a very independent and strong woman,” Grisham said.

Grisham stopped supporting her former boss after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot and resigned as Melania's chief of staff the same day.
