Family dog ​​kills 1-year-old baby in East Hartford, Connecticut

A family dog ​​on Fuller Avenue in East Hartford killed a 1-year-old baby while the family was planning the baby's first birthday celebrations that night, according to local authorities.

The boy's family said the attack occurred when Lennox was playing with his mother. They also told local media that his dog never acted aggressively in the past.

Lennox's father was quoted as saying in a NBC Connecticut report: “If the dog had been aggressive or something, trust and believe he wouldn't have been near the baby.”

The neighbor said he heard the screams and ran to help, but couldn't.

The resident said: “I tried to fight off two Pitbulls and help the baby as much as I could. A minute seemed like an eternity.” [It was] a long battle.”

The 1-year-old's aunt said Lennox was alive in the ambulance and fought and tried to stay with us as long as he could.

The baby's pregnant mother was also injured in the attack, and she cried and recalled how the dog “got up on the trampoline and then grabbed the baby.”

The boy was seriously injured and succumbed to his injuries when he was taken to hospital.

According to the Police description, the dog was a mixed breed. The other was also taken from the residence where the attack occurred.
