Former US President Donald Trump was convicted last week of all 34 felony counts in a hush money case, but that's not all for him.
Due to his conviction by the 12-member Manhattan court jury, Donald Trump has been restricted from traveling to at least 38 countries, which could create problems for his foreign visits if he is re-elected to the Oval Office. .
Countries that prohibit criminals from entering their territories include the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
The 77-year-old would not be allowed to attend the 2025 G7 summit in Canada.
The list also included countries central to US foreign policy issues, such as China, Israel and Mexico.
Despite the laws, governments can establish an exception for the former president if he visits any country on a state-level visit.
Former President George W. Bush was arrested for drunk driving in 1970. When he became commander in chief, he faced problems with Canada and then requested a special exemption, which was eventually granted.
Bush's crime was decades earlier in his Oval Office, and was never tried in court, however, Trump's case is different and it is difficult to say if his case would be similar to Bush's.
