Former TV host Don Lemon criticized X, formerly Twitter CEO Elon Musk, for his conduct on his own platform that fuels hate speech, calling him a “contrary to the facts” person.

Don Lemon conducted his first interview with Elon Musk for The Don Limón show while saying goodbye to cnn last year. The interview is scheduled to air on March 18, however, some of the clips have gone viral on social media.

The television journalist also revealed the reason why the 52-year-old billionaire was “very upset and angry.”

Lemon asked in his interview about the growing hate speech towards X and asked if the CEO has any responsibility to moderate it, since the businessman's comments may be offensive to some.

Musk, 52, responded: “I don't have to answer this question. I don't have to answer questions from journalists. Don, the only reason I'm doing this interview is because you're on platform X and I asked for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't do this interview.”

He also added that he is constantly criticized and that he doesn't care about anything.

while talking to cnnLemon, in reference to the clip of her interview said: “As for someone [Musk] “Who has one of the largest platforms in the world, I think it's 400 and 500 million users a week and it doesn't seem like he has any responsibility with that because he seemed really reluctant to the facts.”

“Those facts didn't matter to him. It didn't matter that he retweeted things that were offensive to people.”

The journalist added: “Because the things I asked about were not supposed to be on their platform according to their own rules, their own content rules. They were supposed to be removed from the platform.”

“He says we don't amplify them. But it doesn't matter. They're there. They're in the public forum and people can find them.”

A day earlier, the 58-year-old said Musk, who also owns Tesla and SpaceX, terminated his contract on his new program at X.

According to Lemon, the contract was canceled hours after his interview with the richest man in the world.

Lemon said Musk sent him a text message saying “contract terminated.”
