The funeral and burial of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny will take place on Friday in Moscow, according to his spokesman, after efforts to find a room where his supporters could say goodbye to him failed.

His allies have accused President Vladimir Putin of assassinating him because the Russian leader allegedly could not tolerate the idea of Navalny being freed in a possible prisoner swap.
The Kremlin, which labels Putin's staunch critic and his supporters as U.S.-backed extremists, has denied state involvement in his death and said it is unaware of any agreement to release Navalny before his death.
