Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and SpaceX, responded to accusations of drug addiction by saying: “After that whiff with Rogan, I agreed, at NASA’s request, to do 3 years of random drug testing.”

However, he stressed that no traces of drugs or alcohol were found in the tests.

Alex Spiro, Musk’s attorney, said Musk undergoes regular, random drug testing at SpaceX and has never tested positive. Spiro referred to the Wall Street Journal article for containing “false facts” without specifying them.

The report also mentions Linda Johnson Rice, the former head of Tesla, who reportedly did not seek re-election in 2019 due to her frustrations with Musk’s behavior and concerns about his drug use.

Elon Musk, with a net worth of $219.4 billion, oversees six companies, including Tesla, SpaceX, Bloomberg billionaires.

The Wall Street Journal reported growing concern among executives and board members of Elon Musk’s companies regarding his drug use. According to unnamed sources familiar with Musk and his business, the billionaire businessman reportedly used substances such as LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms and ketamine, often at private parties.

Witnesses and people with knowledge of the matter, cited by the Journal, stated that Musk continues to use drugs, with special emphasis on ketamine. Musk previously stated in August that he has a prescription for ketamine as an antidepressant.

The controversy surrounding Musk’s drug use intensified after a September 2018 incident on Joe Rogan’s podcast, where he smoked a joint containing marijuana. The Pentagon next reviewed Musk’s federal security clearance tied to his role as CEO of Space Exploration Technologies Corp.
