A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the east coast of Russia's Kamchatka region on Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake occurred at a depth of 51 kilometers, according to EMSC.
The quake comes more than a week after a powerful 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the same region at the same depth on Aug. 17, triggering a volcanic eruption.
So far, no injuries or damage have been reported.
