Virgin launches half-price reward seat offer on transatlantic routes – Business Traveler

Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Red have launched the latest discount promotion for reward seat redemptions.

Members can benefit from a 50 per cent reduction on the number of Virgin points required to redeem reward seats on transatlantic routes.

Examples given for economy class redemptions include 10,000 points for a return flight between London Heathrow and New York (up from 20,000) and 15,000 points for flights to Las Vegas and Los Angeles (normally 30,000).

Offer is valid for award seats booked by March 20, for travel through June 30, 2024.

The discount is available in economy, premium and high class on all routes operated by Virgin Atlantic between the UK and the US. Taxes, fees and other carrier-imposed surcharges are paid in full at the time of redemptions .

Those who need to top up their Virgin Points balances You can currently get a bonus of up to 70 percent when purchasing points before March 31.

The bonus ranges from 20 percent for members who purchase between 5,000 and 24,000 points, up to 70 percent for those who purchase between 125,000 and 200,000 points.

This week Virgin Atlantic also introduced a new benefit for entry-level members of the airline's Flying Club frequent flyer program. Red tier members will board before other customers traveling in Economy Classic and Economy Light, on any service operated by Virgin Atlantic across the airline's global network.
