Turkish Airlines has launched a new sustainability initiative called “Tomorrow On-Board”, which will involve a new cohesive set of principles through which the airline will govern its commitment to sustainability, along with sustainably manufactured in-flight products.
The announcement was made earlier this month in line with World Environment Day, with a special event held at Turkish Airlines' main hub, Istanbul Airport. At the event, the airline showcased sustainable products and services on board, along with an exhibition titled “41.2607° North and 28.7424° East” that showcases a curated selection of artworks created by interdisciplinary artists, made from repurposed aircraft parts. , such as items from a decommissioned aircraft, uniforms and bags for the flight crew, cabin carpets and seat fabrics, to emphasize the goal of a better world.

“Tomorrow On-Board”, which represents the scope of Turkish Airlines' future goals, hopes to inspire both passengers and investors with a comprehensive vision as part of the corporate culture. The initiative was created with several key objectives in mind, including: improving brand image, delivering a unified message and visual framework for all sustainability statements, systematically communicating sustainability activities to investors, and ensuring that passengers have the opportunity to participate in sustainability initiatives.
