Following the celebration of its 91st anniversary on May 20, Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Türkiye, has created a special project called “Wings of Türkiye” to commemorate the occasion.
The airline began its journey in 1933 with a single aircraft, the Curtiss King Bird D2. Inspired by this historic aircraft that laid the foundation for its success, the airline has created a sustainable project using aircraft parts accumulated in its fleet throughout its 91-year history, in memory of the aircraft that played a fundamental role in shaping of Turkish civil aviation. .
