The Emory in London will open its doors in April – Business Traveler

There will be a private, guests-only rooftop space with access to Bar 33 and The Emory Cigar Merchants, and guests will benefit from return car transfers from the capital’s private airfields or international airports.

Other facilities will include the Surrenne wellness club, located four floors underground and featuring a 22-metre swimming pool, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s ABC Kitchens restaurant, with a glass façade overlooking Hyde Park and Kensington.

The hotel will join Maybourne Hotel Group’s existing properties in London (Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley), as well as The Maybourne Beverly Hills in the United States and The Maybourne Riviera in France.

At last year’s International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) in Berlin, group co-CEO Marc Socker spoke on topics ranging from the hotel group’s heritage and growth to rising rates and the current definition of luxury.

Marc Socker, CEO of Maybourne Hotel Group: Luxury is about emotional connection

Commenting on the news, Maybourne Hotel Group CEO Gianluca Muzzi said:

“This is our first new property in London for 50 years and we believe it will be a truly innovative addition to our distinguished family of hotels.

“We plan to bring the inspiration and creative energy that have made our other hotels so notable, while making The Emory a world-class center of arts and culture.

“This opening further cements our vision and commitment to Maybourne’s growth and heralds a bold new future for the company.”

The Emory is one of several luxury hotels set to open in London in 2024, alongside others such as Mandarin Oriental Mayfair and Six Senses London.
