Thai Airways to resume Milan and Oslo services – Business Traveler

Starting in July, Bangkok-based Star Alliance member Thai Airways International (THAI) plans to resume flights to Milan Malpensa and Oslo Gardermoen, respectively.

Starting July 1, the flag carrier plans to resume daily service between Bangkok and Malpensa with two-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, while Oslo will see daily service on the airline’s two-class 777-300ER aircraft. .

Flights to Milan will depart Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport each night at 00:40, arriving at 07:35. They return at 2:05 p.m. to arrive at 5:55 a.m. in the Thai capital the next morning.

THAI’s Oslo service will depart Bangkok at 0055 and arrive in the Norwegian capital at 0725. Return flights will depart Oslo at 1415 and land back in Bangkok at 0615 the following morning.

The THAI 787-9 deployed in Milan will have capacity for 30 passengers in business class with a 1-2-1 configuration and 268 in economy class with a 3-3-3 configuration.

Meanwhile, the THAI 777-300ERs assigned to Oslo will have capacity for 42 passengers in business class 1-2-1 and 306 in economy class 3-3-3.

THAI recently confirmed the addition of two A330-300s to its fleet, as well as an incremental 787-9 Dreamliner and several A350-900 aircraft.

This winter, THAI will operate flights to 51 destinations, including double daily flights to London Heathrow, Frankfurt and Melbourne.

The airline’s long-haul routes with daily flights this winter include Copenhagen; Stockholm; Munich; Istanbul; Paris; Zurich; and Sydney.
