Ruby Group has added its 18th hotel in Europe with the opening of its first property in Ireland.
The 272-room Ruby Molly is located on East Arran Street, just north of the River Liffey and a ten-minute walk from Temple Bar.
The property is situated on the former grounds of St Mary's Abbey, founded in 846, which was later transformed into a lively market district.
The hotel is inspired by the history of the site and “this meeting of the rural and the urban”, with sumptuous fabrics, marble and glass juxtaposed with worn leather, antique tiles, blackened steel, cart wheels and baskets. The hotel also has a library that presents archaeological discoveries from the surrounding area.
A hybrid bar space features digital check-in screens and also serves breakfast, bottomless barista coffee, snacks and Mediterranean-inspired cocktails, plus live presentations from emerging brands.
The hotel has five room categories, from the 16 m2 Nest and 17 m2 Cozy rooms, designed for single travelers, to the 18-22 m2 Lovely, Wow and 25 m2 Loft rooms (the latter with private terrace) for longer stays.
