Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the Red Sea and AMAALA regenerative tourism destinations, has made substantial progress on its Turtle Bay Hospital. The hospital, located in the Turtle Bay area of the Red Sea, aims to provide world-class healthcare to the community of people who live, work and visit this 1.5 million m² waterfront site.
The Red Sea destination will welcome approximately 300,000 guests a year once the first phase of resorts is completed next year. Additionally, Turtle Bay will eventually be home to approximately 14,000 employees and their families, who will benefit from easy access to quality medical and healthcare services.
The developer recently announced that it had received approval from the Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH) for the Turtle Bay Hospital designs, an essential achievement to allow this world-class facility to begin operations. It is the first project funded by the Public Investment Fund to receive architectural approval from the Ministry of Health and marks a substantial milestone for the project.
“Achieving this approval is a momentous occasion for our team, who are working tirelessly to ensure world-class healthcare is available in the Red Sea. Our vision for Turtle Bay Hospital to be a state-of-the-art facility is part of our broader ambitions to deliver a robust healthcare ecosystem for our growing pipeline,” said Nicholas King, Group Development Director at Red Sea Global.
“The health and well-being of our guests and employees is our priority and, as we continue to defend Saudi capabilities, we are pleased to work with several Saudi partners for construction, operations and the supply of medical equipment. “We eagerly anticipate the completion of Turtle Bay Hospital, which is scheduled to open late next year,” he added.
