Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism join forces for unified summer travel campaign

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism have joined forces for a unified summer travel campaign titled “Double Down”. Created in collaboration with OMRAN Group, the campaign invites travelers to discover both places in a single trip packed with double the experiences.

This is the first joint promotion of the two tourism authorities. With both locations focusing on the appeal of their nature and adventure-filled experiences, the campaign beautifully aligns the goals of the two by suggesting travelers make the most of their break by visiting both nearby locations during the same trip for double the joy. – and to add to the incentive, the promotion also highlights a “Kids Go Free” offer available at many of Ras Al Khaimah and Musandam's hotels and attractions.

Ras Al Khaimah and Musandam are a 90-minute drive from each other, and both share an easy border crossing as well as a rich and intertwined history and cultural heritage. Some of the key attractions in each destination that are being promoted in the campaign include:

• 64 km of stunning Ras Al Khaimah coastline and dolphin watching in the Arabian Gulf in Musandam
• Jais Flight, the world's longest zipline at Jebel Jais and Musandam zipline, the world's longest overwater zipline.
• Suwaidi Pearls, the only working pearl farm in the region, and a traditional dhow cruise around Musandam, taking in views of the peninsula's famous 'desert fjords'.
• Dhayah Fort and Khasab Fort: Ancient military forts dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries respectively.
• Hiking Jebel Jais, the highest peak in the United Arab Emirates and a safari in the Hajar Mountains of Oman
• The thrilling mountain sleigh ride, Jais Sledder in Jebel Jais, which will offer complimentary tickets for children under 12 with every adult ticket purchased this summer.

The “See Double” campaign will run from June 15 to September 15 and appears to be just the beginning of cross-promotions between the two destinations.
