Accor's Raffles Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to open a property in NEOM's Trojena destination.
Trojena is NEOM's year-round mountain destination located in northwest Saudi Arabia.
Raffles Trojena is scheduled to open in 2027 and will feature a ring-shaped design offering guests panoramic views of the mountainous region.
It will include 105 rooms, arranged around the perimeter of the ring. Circular areas and landscaped gardens will be located on the ground floor, while the roof, formed by circular openings, will fill the space with natural light. The Raffles resort will include butler service, culinary offerings and an emphasis on the destination's arts and culture.
Raffles Trojena will be located in the Discover cluster, one of the six clusters that make up the destination. The Discover group includes the Discovery Tower, a high-rise tower with an open-air museum; the Observatory, a panoramic viewpoint from the top; and Cosmic Gate, a stargazing camp and astronomical park.
“We are delighted to collaborate with NEOM in the creation of Raffles Trojena, an architecturally significant resort that will showcase the best of modern luxury hospitality and underlines Raffles' commitment to growing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” said Omer Acar, Director Raffles Hotels and Resorts executive
Chris Newman, CEO of NEOM's Hotel Division, added: “It is a credit to Trojena as a destination that Raffles joins our portfolio of properties, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the pinnacle of luxury. “Raffles is responsible for many of the world’s most iconic destinations, filled with endless possibilities, ideas and history, and we are excited to bring its historic legacy to NEOM.”
Raffles properties are located in key international locations including Paris, London, Boston, Doha, Bahrain, Udaipur, Phnom Penh, Singapore, Bali and Istanbul. This year, upcoming openings include those in Jaipur, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
Several other major hotel groups have announced plans to open in Trojena. Marriott International will open two luxury properties, including Saudi Arabia's first W hotel and a JW Marriott hotel in Trojena, while Anantara will debut a 270-room resort with some of the suites also offering private pools.
