Plaza Premium to open City Terminal Lounge in Osaka, Japan
Dark/light mode (05/17/24) A City Terminal will open this summer next to the Plaza Premium Lounge in Osaka's Umeda City, one of Japan's busiest travel hubs.
City Terminal will join the company's portfolio of Plaza Premium Lounges, Aerotel airport hotels, airport restaurant brands, ALLWAYS airport concierge services and the global Smart Traveler rewards program.
At launch, City Terminal will serve as a one-stop shop where travelers can enjoy a lounge, baggage delivery and transportation, travel concierge and even currency exchange.
Warm welcome in a Plaza Premium Lounge
The project is a joint venture between Plaza Premium and JWIDE, combining Plaza Premium's expertise in travel hospitality with JWIDE's specialization in the Japanese inbound travel market.
“Our mission at Plaza Premium Group is to make travel better, and this means literally putting ourselves in the shoes of travelers to offer solutions that overcome pain points and make the journey as enjoyable as the destination,” said Mei Mei Song, Director of Global Brands and Product Transformation. “Japan is a key travel route to Hong Kong, where we are located, meaning travelers often make short trips to Japan, but as flight schedules and check-in times are often not perfectly synchronized , a lot of time is wasted. “time” in the process that can be better spent exploring the culture and getting a taste of Japan. The opening will expand the group's presence in Japan, where Plaza Premium Lounge Nagoya opened in 2023 at Chubu Centrair International Airport.
