Ovolo Hotels expands its global presence with the SLH – Business Traveler partnership

Ovolo Hotels has partnered with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) in a bid to increase its global presence.

The Hong Kong-based hotel group has a collection of boutique hotels and designer restaurants in Asia Pacific, with four hotels and three restaurants in Hong Kong, as well as eight hotels and seven restaurants in Australia.

The following five properties within its Ovolo Hotels brand have been activated on SLH booking channels:

  • Ovolo Woolloomooloo (Sydney, Australia)
  • South Yarra Ovolo (Melbourne, Australia)
  • Ovolo The Valley (Brisbane, Australia)
  • Ovolo Nishi (Canberra, Australia)
  • Central Ovolo (Hong Kong)

The group's second brand, 'By Ovolo Collective', currently joins SLH with the Laneways by Ovolo property in Melbourne set to launch next month. The rest of the hotels in this collection will be staggered throughout the second quarter of 2024.

Dave Baswal, CEO of Ovolo Hotels, commented on the collaboration:

“At Ovolo, we are delighted to partner with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a brand synonymous with excellence and hotels with an independent spirit.

“This strategic alliance not only strengthens our presence in key global markets while remaining independently owned and operated, but also allows us to showcase the distinctive character and innovation that defines Ovolo while emotionally connecting with travelers.”

Mark Wong, Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, added:

“We are delighted to welcome Ovolo Hotels back as a member of SLH. The renewed alliance with Ovolo Hotels brings more interesting promotional prospects; and elevates SLH's presence in Australia and wherever the Ovolo Hotels brand goes.

“Each characterful Ovolo hotel exemplifies the high standards of excellence and impeccably embodies the spirit of individual character and connects with the independent-minded traveler that SLH member hotels are known for.”

SLH has a collection of more than 560 independently selected hotels in more than 90 countries. The association recently signed a new partnership with Hilton, whereby select properties will be available to book through Hilton channels, in addition to offering Hilton Honors members new earning and redemption opportunities.
