Marriott International has signed an agreement with Pasha Development Group to introduce The Ritz-Carlton brand to Uzbekistan.
The Ritz-Carlton, Tashkent, anticipated to be the company's first luxury property in the country, will bring the brand's legendary service and elegant design to the capital city. It will be located in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent – the capital and most cosmopolitan city of Uzbekistan – close to the city's main commercial and business areas, including the city of Tashkent – a modern mixed-use commercial district featuring with residences, hotels, recreational parks, shopping centers, and more.

The hotel will also be very close to popular tourist attractions such as Uzbekistan National Park, the largest park in Tashkent, and Magic City Park, the city's newest amusement park. The famous Amir Temur Square will be a 10-minute drive from the hotel, while Tashkent International Airport will be just 20 minutes away.
The new 31-story hotel is expected to feature 140 elegant rooms and suites, as well as The Ritz-Carlton Club experience and three distinct restaurants. Plans for the property include a variety of facilities such as an indoor pool, fitness center and spa, plus more than 1,300 square meters of meeting and event space.
