Marriott to add ten properties in France by the end of 2025 – Business Traveler


Marriott International has outlined plans to add ten hotels totaling more than 1,000 rooms across France by the end of next year.

The portfolio includes three Moxy properties, with Moxy Annecy and Moxy Paris Clamart expected to open this year, followed by Moxy Nice in late 2025. These will add to the brand's current French portfolio of nine hotels.

This summer, Marriott will also open the Hôtel du Couvent, an 88-room luxury collection hotel in Nice located inside a convent originally built in 1604.

Facilities will include indoor and outdoor pools, thermal baths and various food and drink options, including Le Bistrot des Serruriers.

Other upcoming additions include a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Mougins, Residence Inn by Marriott Lille, Courtyard by Marriott Lyon East and Aloft Dijon, the latter of which will be located inside a former post office.

The new hotels will add to Marriott's existing French portfolio of 69 properties across 16 brands in 29 cities.

Recent openings include Moxy Bordeaux in the city's Wet Docks port districtand a dual-branded Courtyard and Residence Inn property near Paris CDG.

Commenting on the news, Alexandra Goguet, vice president of development for France and Benelux at Marriott International, said:

“Adaptive reuse and conversion projects represent almost half of our properties expected to join Marriott's portfolio in France by the end of 2025.

“These projects allow us to add hotels in key locations in city centers and demonstrate our expertise and flexibility in finding innovative solutions to adapt existing buildings while creating fantastic guest experiences.”
