Malaysia Airlines offers BMW transfers at KLIA – Business Traveler

As the Aerotrain connecting Kuala Lumpur International's main terminal to the satellite lounge remains out of service, flag carrier Malaysia Airlines announced this week that it will introduce an exclusive private transfer service for business and status class customers.

Starting February 1, Malaysia Airlines Business Suite, Business Class and Enrich Platinum passengers will be able to use BMW i7 all-electric private transfers when departing from KLIA.

The 24-hour service will not be available to oneworld Emerald status holders or passengers flying with any airline other than Malaysia Airlines.

The BMW transfers will be in addition to the Premium bus transfer (for first class and business class passengers) currently offered by the airport operator following the temporary suspension of the Aerotrain service.

Solo travelers and couples will get their own exclusive car; The maximum capacity per car is four passengers.

During the initial phase, this shuttle service will only be available to departing passengers who can proceed to gate G1 in the main terminal building from where the transfers will depart.

Malaysia Airlines says it is currently working on creating an arrivals lounge in the satellite terminal, and then the plan is to soon have private BMW transfers available in the other direction as well.
