Lufthansa Group has launched a new Rail & Air partnership with Korean rail provider KTX at Seoul Incheon International Airport.
The agreement means that passengers can now purchase a single air and train ticket, which includes travel to and from the airport to eight KTX destinations, including Busan, Dongdaegu, Gwangju, Ulsan, Pohang, Yeosu, Mokpo and Jinju.
The service also applies to customers taking the AREX Airport Railroad Express from Seoul Station to Incheon International Airport.
Train and air passengers have the option to check-in for their flight at the Seoul Station City Airport terminal, meaning they can obtain their boarding passes, check bags, and complete immigration before arriving at the airport.
Lufthansa Group said it was the only foreign airline offering service to passengers in Korea.
Lufthansa began operating in Seoul from Frankfurt in 1984 and currently offers non-stop flights to the city from both Frankfurt and Munich.
