KLM to increase flights to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and Southampton – Business Traveler

KLM has outlined plans for its 2024 summer schedules, with seating capacity down around 7 percent from 2023 and “almost matching pre-Covid levels”.

The airline will operate flights to a total of 92 European and 63 intercontinental destinations this summer, with increased frequencies to several destinations including Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow and Southampton.

It has already been reported that the airline will add a night service between Southampton and Amsterdam this summer, bringing the route to three daily flights.

In fact, all four of the UK routes mentioned above will get an extra service, with Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle moving to five flights per day by summer 2024.

KLM will also increase service to Jakarta (combined with Kuala Lumpur), Denpasar (combined with Singapore), Taipei, Hong Kong, Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles, and said capacity to North American destinations is currently above from pre-pandemic levels. .

Within Europe, the airline will increase flight frequencies to destinations such as Billund, Stavanger, Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Prague, Bologna, Florence and Genoa.

Finally, KLM has confirmed its plans to resume daily service to Tel Aviv from April 1. The route will operate with a stopover in Larnaca until at least May 19, and the airline said it was “closely monitoring the security situation in Israel.”
