Jetstar Asia launches flights between Singapore and Wuxi, China
Dark/light mode (01/03/24) Jetstar Asia has launched flights between Singapore and Wuxi, the LCC's second direct route to mainland China.
Wuxi is located next to Lake Taihu (太湖), one of the largest freshwater lakes in China, in the southern province of Jiangsu, just over 100 kilometers from Shanghai.
The airline will operate the service with two weekly flights until January 14, increasing to four weekly flights starting January 15, 2024.
Using an A320 aircraft, flight 3K833 is scheduled to depart Changi Airport (SIN) on Mondays and Thursdays at 07:10 and arrive at Wuxi Sunan Shuofang Airport (WUX) at 12:30.

The return leg, flight 3K834, is scheduled to depart Wuxi at 1:30 p.m. and return to Singapore at 6:55 p.m.
Starting January 15, the service will maintain the same time slots but will operate every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
“China is a key market for Jetstar and our customers, so it is fantastic to start flying to Wuxi, our second Chinese port following the successful launch of flights to Haikou earlier this year,” said Jetstar Asia CEO, Barathan Pasupathi. “Our low rates will ensure that our customers in China and Singapore can enjoy seamless and affordable connectivity between these two cities, bridging access to the Yangtze River Delta region. “This will not only enhance travel experiences for business and tourism, but will also allow families and friends to reconnect.”
Lim Ching Kiat, executive vice president of Air Hub & Cargo Development at Changi Airport Group, said the new Jetstar Asia flight would bring China's connectivity to 26 cities, providing more options for travelers between China and Singapore.
“As airlines progressively resume flights, flight movements between Singapore and China have recovered to more than 70% of pre-Covid levels,” Lim said. “With the recent announcement of a mutual 30-day visa waiver agreement between Singapore and China, we eagerly anticipate the increase in leisure and business travel over the coming year.”
