Italian flag carrier ITA Airways will upgrade its Tokyo Haneda-Rome Fiumicino route to daily service starting this month, up from the five flights per week currently offered.
ITA Airways says the Haneda route has achieved “excellent results in terms of load factor” since its inauguration in late 2022.
From Haneda, ITA Airways departs at 12.25 and flights arrive in Rome at 20.10 on the same day. They return from Rome to Haneda at 2:55 p.m. and arrive in the Japanese capital at 10:25 a.m. the next day.
ITA Airways deploys its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Haneda-Rome, including business class, premium economy and economy class seating options.
ITA Airways' expansion into additional long- and medium-haul markets continues.
The airline will launch new service from Rome to Chicago in April and from Rome to Toronto and Riyadh in May.
In June, the airline plans to launch routes to Accra and Kuwait, followed by Dakar in July and Jeddah in August.
This summer, ITA Airways will operate flights to 57 destinations, including 16 domestic, 26 international and 15 intercontinental destinations.
ITA Airways, former Alitalia, began operations in October 2021 with a fleet of 52 aircraft. It has since grown to 83 aircraft, including 40 of Airbus' next-generation aircraft series, including the A350-900, A330neo and A320neo aircraft families.
