IndiGo to launch flights to Ayodhya from Ahmedabad and Delhi, India
Dark/light mode (12/14/23) Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, India will become IndiGo's 86th domestic destination and 118th globally.
IndiGo will also have the honor of being the first airline to operate from the soon-to-open Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport (AYJ) in Ayodhya, with the inaugural flight from Delhi arriving in Ayodhya on December 30, 2023.
Subsequently, commercial operations for a direct flight will begin between Delhi and Ayodhya on January 6, 2024, followed by thrice-weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya from January 11, 2024.

The new flights will provide pilgrims with direct access to Ayodhya from Delhi and Ahmedabad as well as across the entire 6E network in India and abroad.
Ayodhya is a city of profound historical and cultural importance in India. For centuries, it has been a cornerstone of religious devotion, being the sacred birthplace of Lord Rama.
The city has a large number of ancient temples, ghats and renowned holy places that attract pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. Among those milestones, the upcoming Ram Mandir, scheduled to open in January 2024, figures prominently and will attract worshipers from around the world.
