ibis Gatwick hotel to reopen after renovation – Business Traveler

Accor's ibis property near Gatwick Airport is nearing the end of a comprehensive refurbishment program and will reopen its doors at the end of next month.

The ibis London Gatwick Airport closed in 2021 after a fire on the premisesafter which owner Starboard Hotels decided to embark on a complete renovation programme.

business traveler We received a press release from Accor detailing future properties in Europe, which briefly mentioned the Gatwick hotel.

The Starboard Hotels website confirms that a fifth floor has been added to the property, as well as an extension to the front to make room for more rooms, and the building's elevators have been replaced.

Meanwhile, Accor's website for the hotel states that the property has been “completely transformed by 2024 through a top-to-bottom renovation.”

In the future, the hotel will be known as ibis Styles London Gatwick Airport.

There has been no official confirmation on when the hotel will reopen, but Accor is currently accepting bookings from April 22.

The hotel is located on London Road, approximately 5.5 kilometers from Gatwick Airport.
