Iberia presents sustainable amenity kits – Business Traveler

This summer, Iberia will introduce a set of new sustainable amenity kits for business and premium economy customers on long-haul flights.

The toiletry bags have been designed by Catalan designer Teresa Helbig, with the blue, red and yellow kits inspired by her uniforms for Iberia.

The content includes natural and vegan cosmetic products from Uvas Frescas, made with surplus grapes from the wines served on board Iberia flights, and packaging made from sugar cane.

Both bags include socks, an eye mask, a toothbrush, toothpaste and earplugs, while business class customers also receive lip balm and hand cream.

Customers can order a full kit or alternatively any of the products it contains, and any unused leftover products are recycled for reuse.

The bags were produced by Kaelis and involved recycling 7.5 million 550ml plastic bottles, saving 1.2 million liters of water and reducing energy emissions by 70 percent.

The bags will also be packaged by Envera, an association of Iberia employees for parents of people with disabilities.
