On Sunday Funday, the people of Los Angeles give us a play per game of their ideal Sunday in the city. Find ideas and inspiration about where to go, what to eat and how to enjoy life on weekends.

“Three years ago, I was looking around the world thinking: 'Man, he is really becoming divisive,” he says. There are many conflicts between people. What can I do? And I thought: “Well, you can sing and dance, tell people to love them”, and so the “romantic lord” was born.

With a quartet of musicians behind him, Reilly takes the stage as Mister Romantic, his alter ego that does not remember the past. All he knows is that he must act, and if he is lucky, he will find someone he falls in love with him at the end of the night. The performance on stage, which makes A stop at the theater of the Los Angeles Palace On October 10, the launch of Reilly's debut “Mister Romantic” continues, a collection of love ballads that gathered and reinterpreted over the years. The result is part of Crooner, part of Cabaret, with a clear nod to Frank Sinatra and Old Hollywood Romances.

“We are carrying this message of empathy and love to the world and having fun at the same time,” he says.

Reilly used to live near Pasadena, but after losing her home in the Los Angeles fires, she now resides “everywhere.” With their children grown and probably “doing their own things on Sunday”, their ideal Sunday happens with his wife and other important people in his life.

“Sunday is something like this safe space,” says Reilly. “It's an opportunity to consult with someone who may need a little company.”

This interview has been slightly edited by length and clarity.

7 am: The joy of pajamas
I want to encourage everyone to enter pajamas. I am a great admirer of the pajama. I like the traditional guy with stripes. You know, how the old pajamas dad of the 1950s. Then you will see me in pajamas if you come to my house on Sunday morning.

Usually, I wake up around 7 o'clock, but it takes me about an hour and a half even starting something, I am a very slow elevator.

8:30 AM: Cover cakes in Pasadena
I usually like to get to a bakery from the beginning because it is fun to have a Sunday morning: some funny bakery articles. There is this bakery that I love in Pasadena called Seed bakery That has all the successes. It is this incredible couple, only both: they do all the incredible French things with which you are familiar and the croissants of ham and cheese cheese.

One thing that my grandfather used to do as a child: on Sunday it would be the day I would come with things from the bakery. If you want to be the funniest uncle, you can also go to the house of a friend with baked products.

11 AM: Make a Treepeople walk
There is this great place called Treepople I love that it is at the top of the Coldwater Canyon. It is a famous conservation initiated by this child in the 70s: he was a teenager who was worried about pollution, and heard that trees and plants can help take out the air pollution.

It is one of Los Angeles's great walks, has these paths that intersect from one place to another. It is very peaceful.

It has this mission not only to preserve the paths, but also teach people about ecology and why trees are important. We definitely need some trees after all this fire that we have had in Los Angeles are a really important part of the city.

2:30 PM: afternoon on the moonlight roll
I love him Moonlight RollerwayAn incredible roller track in Glendale. I am a pattern of the place for a long time. I have filmed there a couple of different times. We shoot some from “Winning time“Over there.

It is like a kind of roller skating track. It reminds me of the places I used to go when I had, as, 11 or 12 years old, in the late 70s in Chicago, and it really looks exactly like that. I don't think they have changed the concession position since the 70s.

I really love roller skating. During Covid, we started this gang called Rebel Skate Rolling Club, and we only went to the parking lots, such as Target parking at 11 pm. All would descend with matching jackets and go to skating.

Moonlight Rollerway is always there. It is always with air conditioning. He has beautiful wooden floors, so if you fall, it is not the end of the world. I am a great admirer because you don't drink. There is no alcohol served there. It is a good clean fun, it is the way I would describe it. You can have a Hot Dog in the concession position.

There is something really great and energizing in roller skating: it is the closest to fly that you will find without sprouting wings.

5 pm: dine bike
My wife and we love to climb our bicycles while it is still light, and ride a fun restaurant near us and have a good meal, maybe a couple of wine glasses, and then you are returning to your bicycle in the dark. It's a lot of fun, he feels like an adventure.

There are many great restaurants all the time Mission Street in Pasadena – That was adjacent to where we lived, and it was easy to ride a bike there.

8 PM: Take a long show or Elysian
There are two places with which I have a really strong connection with what are the theaters in Los Angeles. Long in the crownWhere you can see so many incredible comedians, but I love going there for music. I can't tell you how many nights of extraordinary experiences I have had long.

The other theater I love is the Elysium Theater on the east side in Silver Lake in Riverside. It will sound crazy for people who are not aware that there is a clown scene in Los Angeles, but there is a great clown scene in Los Angeles, there are many people in the scene of clowns who leave the Elysian theater. But if you like alternative comedies or queer things, or simply voices that you are not going to listen to the comedy store, then Elysian is a great center for you.

It is a non -profit organization. It is a place that fosters alternative voices. It feels really intimate when you are there. I have done my “Mister Romantic” program there a lot of times.

10:30 PM: Yoga like a night glass
I like to do a little yoga before bedtime. People think about yoga as, as, starting the day with yoga, but in reality stretching before bedtime is really good, because then you release the tension and things you have been holding of the day and you can sleep better, so I recommend a yoga glass. I usually go to bed around midnight.
