After starring in several consecutive projects in the last six months, Jack Quaid has been anxious for finally establishing himself a bit.
“It is surprising that I can do this job, but I am missing a lot of home,” says Quaid from his Los Angeles apartment, which he shares with his girlfriend and the co -star of “The Boys”, Claudia Doermit. “So it will be good to really connect with the people with whom I grew up and the place I am.”

Quaid began his year full of science fiction “Companion”, and a couple of months later, he became a superhero that does not feel pain in “Novocaine”. Shortly after, a crime thriller called “Neighborhood Watch”, and traveled through the pond to London to star in “Heads of State” with Idris Elba, John Cena and Priyanka Chopra, who is now transmitting in a main video.
When we got on a zoom call, Quaid recently returned to Los Angeles after shooting the fifth and final season of “The boys,“Prime Video's Superhero Dramedy.
“I've really grown up in that program,” says Quaid, who dedicated an Instagram post to “The Boys” with a collection of bloody selfies. “I worked a little earlier, but that program was really like the actors training camp.”
Quaid talked about his perfect Sunday in Los Angeles, which implies taking a “giant walk” to visit all his favorite places, including a comics store, a cafeteria and a classic restaurant. If it were for him, the action star would break the laws of physics and be in more than one place at the same time. For now, unfortunately, that only works in superhero movies.

7:30 am: coffee, discs and backgammon
Claudia or I will generally make coffee. We have a routine all morning. Not to not sound too idiot, but I'm never really here or at least I haven't been in the last year, so every time I am at home, I just want to assimilate it. The only constant every day is that we wake up, we have coffee and put an album. In general, it is “Pink Moon” by Nick Drake or “Super Sad Generation” by Arlo Parks. We will go to our balcony, we will have our coffee and play backgammon. Backgammon is something I learned on the set of “The Boys”. It is such a fun game that keeps your mind active. You are not on your phone and it is good to play with someone you love, obviously.
10 am: Fill my bag with new comics
I will usually walk giant. It is not a passable city, but I am trying to do it. I love my business and local coffee shops, and I try to be a regular whenever I can. In general, I will walk my favorite comic store in Los Angeles called Golden apple. I started going there so that all the problems of “The Boys” investigate the comic. I was really interested in comics when I was younger, and then, recently, I have achieved very In comics. My specification is that it is not about superheroes. There is no lack of respect for those comics, but I am a lot in that world.
I really began to enter this writer named James Tynion IV. I looked reading “something is killing the children” and I became obsessed with that, and that generated this new comic rebirth for me. 11 am: feel nostalgic in my favorite restaurant
I would probably walk until Swingers money and meet with a friend. I used to go there with my sketch comedy group, we would write a lot there. All who work there are amazing and that place is legendary. I grew up in Santa Monica and used to go to that location that used to have purple cows on the walls. I think that closed, which is unfortunate. At that time, I would be making a school play and that is where everyone would go after an performance.
Usually, I get the protein breakfast with quinoa, egg whites and chicken. Very boring. But on my ideal Sunday, I would get something that involved bananas, pancakes and peanut butter. I would like to sit and eat in the [patio] area. If you have some tree shade, I am inside.
1:30 pm: coffee break
Then I would go to Coffee for SasquatchThat is incredible. My sketch comedy group is called Sasquatch, so I feel that I have to enter there. 4 pm: Virtual video games and photography
I think the 4 pm is my least favorite time of the day. It is not being established at night. The sun is still high in the sky. There is something that I don't like, so I probably wanted to go home. My internal clock wherever I know only is 4 pm and get a little sad.
I really got into virtual photography. Many games have a photo mode in which you can pause the game and put a digital camera anywhere in the 3D space. There are as lenses and filters, and it inspired me to take photography in the real world if I can. It is really relaxing, so I think I would need it around 4 pm
5 pm: double the Sunset Sunset boulevard
The 5 pm are fine because the sun is starting to wear and that is great. It would probably go like a giant trot. Basically would go to Reserve soup It is and then returns. At 7 pm, I would bring together the largest group of people I know in the city, including my group of high school friends and their partners, to go to a classic Mexican restaurant. What I like to do most in Los Angeles is to eat authentic Mexican food. It is better with these places here. It is just what it does to Lala. So I would go to any restaurant with “El” in the title. 12 am: Canter and cartoons before bedtime
I probably went home and fell asleep with “The Simpsons” or “Futurama”. That is usually the way Claudia and I went down.
