Hamad International welcomes record 45.9 million passengers in 2023 – Business Traveler

Doha's Hamad International has released its latest traffic figures, showing a huge increase in passengers during 2023.

The airport welcomed a record 45,916,104 passengers last year, 31 percent more than the previous year, when Qatar hosted the FIFA World Cup.

From a turbulent initial period which saw the airport's 2013 opening postponed just hours before the planned openingHamad International has welcomed nearly 303 million passengers during its decade of operations.

A total of 52 airlines served 255 destinations from the airport last year on passenger, cargo and charter operations.

Hamad International completed the first phase of a renovation and expansion project in late 2022, and the second phase is underway and plans to increase traffic to more than 70 million passengers annually.
