Global Hotel Alliance Partners with Luxury Home Rental Service Plum Guide – Business Traveler

Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the world's largest alliance of independent hotel brands, has signed a loyalty partnership with luxury home rental service Plum Guide.

The 26 million members of the GHA DISCOVERY loyalty program will now be able to earn Discovery Dollars (D$, the rewards currency) and tier credits on bookings with Plum Guide.

Plum Guide launched its home rental platform in 2016 in London and has since expanded to 38,000 homes in 700 destinations in 29 countries, with plans to expand current markets and launch new destinations this year.

Members will earn 5 percent D$ cash back on their spent earnings for each stay at a Plum Guide home, redeemable exclusively at GHA hotels (but not at Plum Guide properties).

The partnership with Plum Guide has seen the addition of over 700 destinations to the GHA DISCOVERY portfolio, including Palm Springs, Crete, the Scottish Highlands and the French Riviera.

Members can search for a Plum Guide rental through the Vacation Homes category in the destination selection on ghadiscovery.com and will be directed to the Plum Guide website to complete their reservation.

Chris Hartley, CEO of GHA, commented:

“Our partnership with Plum Guide signals our dedication to creating partnerships that enrich our loyalty program offering, giving customers more options when they travel and more ways to earn D$ that they can use to enjoy more stays at 800 hotels.

“We want D$ to become a valuable travel currency that is easy to earn and redeem, and encourages our customers to explore our growing network. This partnership with Plum Guide achieves all of those goals.”

Doron Meyassed, founder and CEO of Plum Guide, added:

“We are excited to be the first unique vacation rental platform to tie into the GHA DISCOVERY loyalty program. Plum Guide's hand-selected homes offer a unique and personalized accommodation experience, while GHA DISCOVERY offers members global recognition and rewards through a global collection of renowned brands.

“Together, we offer travelers a wide range of high-quality accommodation options in various destinations, catering to different preferences and travel styles. “It is fantastic to create a partnership that enhances the overall travel experience for our customers.”

GHA comprises more than 800 hotels across 40 brands in 100 countries, with recent additions including NH Hotel Group and The set collection.

In other news, London-based Lore Group joined the Global Hotel Alliance last month, while last year GHA formed a partnership with Regent Seven Seas Cruises, allowing GHA DISCOVERY members to earn Discovery Dollars on reservations with the luxury cruise line.
