Flydubai announces four new routes to Europe – Business Traveler

Dubai-based airline flydubai has announced the launch of four new services to destinations in Europe.

Later this year, it will begin flights to Basel, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius, expanding its network in Europe to 43 destinations in 21 countries.

It becomes the first UAE national airline to operate direct flights to EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL) from August 2, 2024.

The announcement also marks the airline's first entry into the Baltic region with direct flights to Riga International Airport (RIX) in Latvia starting October 11, as well as Tallinn Airport (TLL) in Estonia and Tallinn International Airport from Vilnius (VNO) in Lithuania from October 12. 2024.

The airline's flights to these destinations will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Emirates will codeshare on these routes.

Flydubai will operate its latest aircraft on these routes that feature lie-flat seats in business class.

Return business class fares from DXB to BSL start from Dhs13,000 and economy lite fares start from Dhs1,500.

Return business class fares from DXB to RIX start from Dhs7,060 and economy lite fares start from Dhs1,920.

Return business class fares from DXB to TLL start from Dhs10,400 and economy lite fares start from Dhs2,100.

Return business class fares from DXB to VNO start from Dhs7,060 and economy lite fares start from Dhs2,180.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said: “We are proud to see our network growing more than ever with the launch of new routes. We have created a diverse network of 126 destinations, 60 percent of which previously had very limited or no connections to Dubai. “Our new services to the Baltic region and Basel will allow more people to travel comfortably through Dubai’s aviation hub, whether visiting Dubai or conveniently connecting to the flydubai network or further afield with our codeshare partner Emirates.”

Starting this month, the airline also began services to two destinations in Asia. On February 10, flights began from Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Penang International Airport (PEN) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK). It became the first airline to serve both airports with a daily service from Dubai. Flights to Langkawi operate via a short stopover in Penang.
