Fly Jinnah starts services to Sharjah airport – Business Traveler

Pakistani low-cost airline Fly Jinnah began operations to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates earlier this month.

On February 17, the airline flew its first flight between Islamabad and Sharjah, which also marked its first international service.

Fly Jinnah is jointly operated by Lakson Group of Pakistan and Air Arabia Group of the United Arab Emirates.

The Islamabad-Sharjah route will be operated twice a day. 9P 740 departs Islamabad at 7.10am and lands in Sharjah at 9.45am 9P 741 departs Sharjah at 10.25am and arrives back in Islamabad at 2.20pm

The second daily flight, 9P 742, departs Islamabad at 8:15 p.m. and lands in the United Arab Emirates at 10:50 p.m. 9P 743 leaves Sharjah at 11:30 p.m. and returns to Islamabad at 3:25 a.m.

Both flights are operated by the airline's A320 aircraft. Fly Jinnah said that to cater to its expanded operations, it recently added two new Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet, taking the total number of its aircraft to five.

The latest flight joins the growing number of airlines operating to the emirate of Sharjah. The Sharjah Airport Authority said the number of passengers passing through Sharjah Airport in 2023 reached 15.3 million. This figure represents a 17.4 percent increase over its 2022 figures of 13.1 million passengers.

Subsequently, there was a 12.5 percent growth in overall air traffic with more than 98,000 flight movements in 2023, compared to around 87,000 in 2022.

Sharjah Airport is connected to more than 100 destinations through 33 international airlines in 62 countries.
