The UAE's national airline, Etihad Airways, has launched a new collection of amenity kits and loungewear created in partnership with Italian design house Giorgio Armani and luxury brand ESPA.
The new range includes bespoke amenity kits for each premium cabin, as well as designer loungewear and slippers. It has also introduced a range of complimentary carry-on bags for guests traveling in economy class on longer flights.
The airline said the new range will be gradually rolled out to flights from the end of February.
Etihad has partnered with ESPA to offer luxury skincare products for amenity kits as well as premium cabin bathrooms. The airline previously collaborated with ESPA to launch its limited-edition 20th anniversary amenity kits, and it's the first time the natural skincare brand has partnered with an airline.
Etihad business class guests will receive new amenity kits, designed by Giorgio Armani, in one of two unisex styles: a tote bag and a bucket.
The Giorgio Armani and Etihad co-branded unisex tote bag features “The Dunes”, a contemporary print design inspired by the rolling sands of Abu Dhabi's Liwa Desert. Meanwhile, the cube bag has a geometric shape for easy packing and organizing in rolling bags, suitcases or closet drawers at home. Business class kits are also packed with ESPA's luxury skincare products, including a nourishing lip treatment, hydrating spa facial mist and rejuvenating hand and body lotion, plus slippers, a sun visor , earplugs and a dental travel kit.
Guests traveling in The Residence, Etihad's “private three-bedroom suite,” and in first class, will receive a large Giorgio Armani and Etihad-branded folio bag, available in four colors and which can be used to store laptops up to 13 inches. The folio bag is also filled with ESPA products.
Additionally, The Residence and first-class guests also receive loungewear and slippers from Giorgio Armani and Etihad in a folio bag. The charcoal loungewear is wrinkle-free and features a Henley neckline and an Abu Dhabi skyline-inspired print, plus pants with matching pockets. In business class, the new Etihad Business Class loungewear given to all guests on long-haul flights over nine hours features soft loungewear inspired by traditional Emirati dress and features iconic stitching Emirates V shape on the chest, which is unique to the UAE national dress. .
In economy class, passengers on flights longer than six hours will receive a carry-on bag containing in-flight essentials, including freebies of Beekman hand cream, a visor and earplugs. The tote bag comes in three options featuring the tail fin designs of Etihad aircraft livery, including the special Greenliner and Manchester City liveries. Each bag is made from a 500 ml PET bottle rescued from a landfill.
“We are also very proud to present a free range of stylish and functional carry-on bags to our guests on longer flights in economy class. These bags will not only be a useful gift, but will also help us further reduce single-use plastic,” said Turky Al Hammadi, Chief Product and Hospitality Officer at Etihad Airways.
Etihad Airways presents new partnership with Armani/Casa
In October 2022, Etihad Airways partnered with Armani/Casa on a collection designed by Giorgio Armani. Products from that initial collaboration, known as 'The Constellation Collection', included ceramics, glassware, cutlery and tableware, as well as premium textiles for its business class cabins.
