Etihad adds three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to its fleet – Business Traveler

Etihad has welcomed three new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to its fleet at Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport, sporting the airline's new cabin interior.

The two-class aircraft will begin operations this month and feature an all-new interior with 32 Business Suites and 271 economy seats, including 54 extra legroom seats with four inches of extra legroom.

The business class cabin features a customized version of the Elements seat manufactured by Collins, and Etihad is the first airline to introduce this seat on the Boeing 787.

All seats in Business include direct aisle access, and Business Suites feature fully flat beds, measuring 78 inches long, with a 17.3-inch 4K TV screen, Bluetooth headphone pairing, wireless charging, and multiple charging ports. burden.

Meanwhile, in economy class, passengers will benefit from a 13.3-inch 4K touchscreen monitor and the option to pair personal phones and tablets with the screen to use as a remote control.

The aircraft is also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi with streaming capabilities, as well as live television, including news and sports channels.

The new aircraft follows the delivery of the Boeing 787-10 aircraft last October, which added more capacity to support the airline's network expansion.

In the coming months, the airline will launch a number of new routes, including flights to Boston from March 31, Bali from April 23 and Nairobi from May 1, plus summer services to Nice, Malaga , Mykonos and Santorini.

The airline now operates 43 Dreamliners and a total fleet of 88 aircraft, which also includes Airbus A380, A350, A320 family and Boeing 777, and aims to fly to 125 destinations with more than 160 aircraft by 2030.

Etihad recently unveiled a series of changes to its Etihad Guest program starting this summer, as well as launching a new collection of amenity kits and loungewear created in partnership with Italian design house Giorgio Armani and luxury brand ESPA.
