Dubai-based airline Emirates will introduce its premium economy cabin to two more locations in its network over the coming weeks.
It will be available on its route to Sao Paulo starting November 19 and Tokyo Narita starting December 20.
Sao Paulo will become the airline’s fifth point in its North and South American network where flights with the new cabin class will operate.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Narita will become the second gateway to Emirates’ Far East network to include premium economy seats.
With the addition of Tokyo Narita, the number of points on the Emirates network offering premium economy will increase to 14.
Starting November 19, travelers flying between Dubai and Sao Paulo will be able to book Emirates premium economy seats on EK261/262, which will initially be available three times a week and will expand to daily flights in December.
Emirates currently operates daily flights between Sao Paulo and Dubai. Its Brazilian operations also include a Boeing 777 service between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro, connecting travelers to Buenos Aires.
Starting December 20, Emirates premium economy seats will be offered on flights EK318/319 between Dubai and Tokyo Narita. Tokyo Narita is the airline’s first gateway to Japan with the premium economy cabin and follows the product’s debut in Singapore in July.
Emirates also serves its customers in Japan through its three gateways, with daily flights to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda and Osaka Kansai.

Emirates currently flies its A380s with premium economy seats to destinations including London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Houston and San Francisco. It will also debut on Emirates flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru from October 29.
The airline says that since the introduction of the new cabin class a year ago, more than 160,000 customers have booked premium economy seats.
