Emirates to hire 5,000 cabin crew worldwide by 2024 – Business Traveler

Emirates has announced a global cabin crew recruitment campaign for this year in line with its growth and the upcoming addition of Airbus A350 aircraft to its fleet.

The airline has said it will recruit 5,000 crew in 2024 and that this campaign will target “those who will soon or have recently entered the world of work.”

The airline said it is looking for recent graduates with internships or part-time jobs on their resumes, and those with about a year of hospitality or customer service experience to apply for the positions.

All new cabin crew will undergo an eight-week course at Emirates' facility in Dubai to train them in hospitality, safety and service. These cabin crew also have access to the latest training programs and courses from LinkedIn.

The airline said its cabin crew team comes from more than 140 nationalities and speaks a combined total of 130 languages.

The crew will be based in Dubai and will be able to enjoy tax-free salary and flight pay, be eligible for profit sharing, hotel stays and stopover expenses, concessional travel and cargo, annual leave, flight tickets. annual leave, furnished accommodations, transportation to and from employment, medical, life and dental insurance coverage, laundry services and other benefits. In 2023, Emirates hired 8,000 cabin crew and held recruitment events in 353 cities. In August 2023, the airline's cabin crew number surpassed the 20,000 mark and is now 21,500.

This year, the airline's recruiting team will host open houses and assessments in more than 460 cities on six continents.

In October last year, the airline confirmed that it had launched a new strategy called 'One Device' leveraging Apple products, whereby all Emirates cabin crew receive an iPhone 13 or iPad Air configured with custom Emirates apps to improve and streamline service to passengers on board. At the time, it said it had already invested more than Dh32 million in the initiative and had started distributing Apple devices a year earlier.
